Too much anxious!

..Any self help for anxiety?

Ok..my friend.

Here's self help for anxiety to calm down.

With pressure in modern lifestyle, we feel anxious more often. Too much anxiety may not impact only your working performance, but also your health.

I would like to share a ipod-free method to handle anxiety. So that you can use it whenever you need.

Here's how you can use this elevator technique as self help for anxiety:

  1. Sit comfortably. And Close your eyes.
  2. Imagine that you are on 20th floor of a building. And you want to go down to 1st floor. So you press elevator's button to go down.
  3. Imagine starting from your step into elevator at 20th floor. Feel the elevator is going down slowly from 20, 19,..,1.
  4. When you get out of the elevator, you are now at your ideal comfortable place.

    This place maybe the living room of your house,

    or at the beach with the sound of waves,

    or maybe in the morning time and birds sing so nicely.

  5. Feel how relaxed you are while you stay at your ideal place. Relax...Relax.
  6. Tell yourself that you will open your eyes at 5 with calm and fresh feeling. Then start counting from 1,2,..,5. Open your eyes with more calm and fresh feeling.

When finishing this exercise, you will feel more relaxed and comfortable.

You can also practise to use a quicker version like 3-2-1 before presenting your solutions to customers, or before taking exam. This will calm you down, focus and maximize your performance.
